On July 16th 2015 at the Albion Hills Conservation Area, The Meaghan Zaremba Music School performed as part of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am in the Park Cultural Food & Music Festival. The event emceed by medal-winning Pan Am athlete Erin Woodley featured The Meaghan Zaremba Music School as part of the Main Stage Line Up.
On June 13th 2015, Caledon hosted one leg of a 41-day journey spanning more than 130 Ontario communities to celebrate and share the spirit of the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games. The Town of Caledon chose Meaghan Zaremba as one of its torch bearers and she was honoured and recognized as an Unsung Hero for overcoming her personal challenges and becoming a leader in the community. Meaghan is a founder and driving force behind The Meaghan Zaremba Music Room, a safe and fun place for mentally and physically challenged individuals to freely express themselves through music and experience its therapeutic benefits. The music room has become a staple in Caledon for inspiring and sponsoring children, and young adults, to participate in music lessons.
As part of a five-year fundraising campaign to reach a goal of $100,000 for The Meaghan Zaremba Music Room, November 2015 marks the 3rd Annual Meaghan Zaremba Month. This year’s campaign goal is geared towards providing a full-year of private music lessons for two individuals with Down syndrome. To achieve this goal, the 2015 campaign must raise at least $3,000 to finance scholarships for these two very deserving individuals. On February 9th 2013 at the Humber River Hall, Tisho’s Music Academy hosted a Valentine’s Day fundraiser for The Meaghan Zaremba Music Room.
