Beer for a Year: Fundraising Raffle

The raffle winners will be announced November 1st, 2018 at the Music Room!


The raffle is conducted by Meaghan Zaremba Music Room, (MZMR).

The raffle will take place at Meaghan Zaremba Music Room at 11:00 am on November 1, 2018, by draw from a container of sold ticket stubs.

The first ticket drawn will be First Prize, which is 1 case of 24 domestic beer per week for 52 weeks, starting December 2018, or cash value of $2000.

The second and third prizes will be the next two tickets drawn.

Drawn tickets will not be placed back into the container for subsequent draws.

The winners do not have to be present during the draw. Notification will be as deemed by MZMR.

Ticket buyers must already be of legal drinking age to opt for the Beer prizes.

MZMR will complete the raffle and award the prize(s), whether or not all 1000 tickets have been sold.

Prices for a case of 24 domestic bottled beer fluctuate regularly at The Beer Store, however, it is the intention of Meaghan Zaremba Music Room to procure 52 Gift cards from The Beer Store, equaling the amount required for the current rate established on November 1, 2018. Distribution will be as deemed by MZMR. The winner has can opt for the cash alternative of $2,000 as First Prize. 2nd and 3rd prize cash awards (if chosen) will be $100 and $75, respectively. Winners are responsible for costs associated with the pickup of the prize(s).

Proceeds will be for MZMR to provide music lessons for mentally and physically challenged individuals in Tisho's Music Academy, Bolton, Ontario. By participating in the Raffle, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules, including eligibility requirements, and understand that the results, as determined by MZMR are final in all respects. The Raffle is subject to all Provincial and local laws and regulations.

Promotion Period: The Raffle entry period begins August 9, 2018 and ends Nov 1, 2018 at 10:00am.

Entrant’s Personal Information: Information collected from entrants will be kept confidential to MZMR and except where prohibited, participation in the Promotion constitutes the entrant’s consent for MZMR and its designees to use prize winner names, likeness, and city for promotional purposes in any media without further consideration.

Release and Limitations of Liability: Except where prohibited, by participating in the Promotion, entrants agree to release and hold harmless MZMR, its’ officers, directors and volunteers (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of the participation in the Promotion or receipt or use of any prize, but not limited to: a) unauthorized human intervention in the Promotion; b) technical errors related to the computers, servers, providers, c) printing errors; d) errors of the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; e) late, lost or undeliverable mail; or f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the entrant’s participation in the Promotion or receipt of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Promotion and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct or indirect damages. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry form.

Disputes: Entrant agrees that: a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prizes awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by Ontario law and b) any and all claims, judgements and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Promotion, but in no event attorneys’ fees. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforcement of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in
connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Ontario.

Toronto 2015 Pan Am in the Park Cultural Food & Music Festival

On July 16th 2015 at the Albion Hills Conservation Area, The Meaghan Zaremba Music School performed as part of the Toronto 2015 Pan Am in the Park Cultural Food & Music Festival. The event emceed by medal-winning Pan Am athlete Erin Woodley featured The Meaghan Zaremba Music School as part of the Main Stage Line Up.

Toronto 2015 Pan Am Torch Relay

On June 13th 2015, Caledon hosted one leg of a 41-day journey spanning more than 130 Ontario communities to celebrate and share the spirit of the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games. The Town of Caledon chose Meaghan Zaremba as one of its torch bearers and she was honoured and recognized as an Unsung Hero for overcoming her personal challenges and becoming a leader in the community. Meaghan is a founder and driving force behind The Meaghan Zaremba Music Room, a safe and fun place for mentally and physically challenged individuals to freely express themselves through music and experience its therapeutic benefits. The music room has become a staple in Caledon for inspiring and sponsoring children, and young adults, to participate in music lessons.

3rd Annual Meaghan Zaremba Month

As part of a five-year fundraising campaign to reach a goal of $100,000 for The Meaghan Zaremba Music Room, November 2015 marks the 3rd Annual Meaghan Zaremba Month. This year’s campaign goal is geared towards providing a full-year of private music lessons for two individuals with Down syndrome. To achieve this goal, the 2015 campaign must raise at least $3,000 to finance scholarships for these two very deserving individuals. Valentine Dance Gala Fundraiser

On February 9th 2013 at the Humber River Hall, Tisho’s Music Academy hosted a Valentine’s Day fundraiser for The Meaghan Zaremba Music Room. The event with live music, dinner, and silent auction brought together the community to support the future of The Meaghan Zaremba Music Room. To view the invitation, click here.
